Kathy Gilbert Taylor, CRC, advocates for individuals with disabilities, especially those with facial pain. She was formerly the director of patient services for the Trigeminal Neuralgia Association in Gainesville, Florida. She earned a master's degree in rehabilitation counseling. Kathy also taught high school English, drama, and journalism and worked as an editor. Prior to teaching, Kathy spent several years in the Air Force, first at the Air Force Academy Chapel and then in special forces at Hurlburt Field. An ordained minister, Kathy serves as a ministry volunteer and works with youth. Kathy has also been a Guardian ad Litem and a foster parent. She has experienced the pain of several cranial neuralgias, giving her compassion for others who suffer. Kathy lives in Florida with her husband Robert and their toy fox terriers.
